You need to make sure that you have a free account and that your game has been added to the games that you own. The first thing you need to do is go to a website like. Installing mods is the first part of the process. They have various fan-made content and so many ways of learning how to download and integrate them into your own game. YouTube and the internet are the best places to find these mods. Mods for this game have been created to enhance the gameplay making it so that players have a better time playing the game with little to no issues. The game itself contains a few bugs that dull down the gamer experience. Here are some of the best ones you can find for SimCity 4. However, some tend to stand out among the rest. They can change up the looks of players, places, and even objects in order to make the games more fun and unique. It is no wonder that various players have created their own content. Just like in The Sims franchise, players can get hooked building and play with a life that is not their own.Įven though this game came out back in 2003, this game is still very popular with so many options for downloading and building. This particular version has even more tools to create your own terrains and buildings to simulate real life. The three different modes allow you to play god, manage, or even play as one of the citizens yourself. SimCity 4 is the fourth installment in a franchise where you can create your own cities. 10 Best SimCity 4 Mods That Make Everything More Awesome * Move cmp legacy function out into separate utility module * Python 3 fixes for basestring, cmp(), reload(), unicode(), xrange(), etc. * #3648 Update requirements files with new bioformats versions * #3648 Bump python-bioformats version ( #3653) Without this change, it is a syntax error in Python 3 * Explicit tuple required inside a comprehension in Python 3 ( #3651) * from cellprofiler.modules import images * Revert cellprofiler/modules/loadsingleimage.py * Remove from _future_ import with_statement and from. * Remove from _future_ import absolute_import * Cleanup xxx_todo_changeme and doubled coding lines * setup.py: permit pip install on Python 3.6.3 * No absolute_imports in cellprofiler/modules/images.py * Reference default strings in preferences, where they're defined * Import wx in function where it's used, spelling correction None of the other boxsizers had another reference, so I'm hoping this is fine. * Remove undefined groupbox reference in pipeline controller * Reference cellprofiler.pipelines directly This used a C file that no longer exists: cbd1d45 * Remove windows specific check for hidden files * sr_alloc_block requires no extra arguments (expecially undefined ones) * Remove ImagePlaneDetailsMetadata which no longer existsĪlso set undefined "module" reference to None. * Travis CI: Add flake8 to find syntax errors and undefined names * Add "c" and "cmap" as options for subplot_scatter ( #3637) * eliminated separate elifs for BROWSE_FILES and BROWSE_FOLDER * working now (removed unnecessary debug information) * added on_pathlist_browse_folder calls in two more places * adding changes to add Select Folder context menu Put the class variable at the start of the class (to make issues like Added spacing around all operators I found Settings from the current version do not need any update. * Only update variable names if pipeline comes from older version Like this it can be verified that channel numbers Such that they contained the channel number they should * Adds a test to load an old pipeline from v3Ī v3 pipeline was added where images were named Reflect the fact that it is now integer values. The franchise will continue with State of Decay 3, which was recently announced for Xbox Series X. Undead Labs’ work on State of Decay 2 didn’t stop with its release in 2018 in 2020 the studio released State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition, a massive overhaul that added a host of new content, graphical improvements, additional music, bug fixes, and quality-of-life updates. The status of Playground’s Forza Horizon series, which has been gaining sales and critical acclaim with each new entry, is unknown, but it seems highly likely to continue. An in-engine trailer was shown at Microsoft’s July showcase, though the racer is still in “early development” at Turn 10 Studios with no release window in place. *Forza Street, a free-to-play mobile spinoff, was released more recently.Ī rebooted Forza Motorsport is in development for Xbox Series X. The future of the cult-favorite franchise is likely in jeopardy after the series’ latest was released to little fanfare and poor critical reception (it holds a 60 on Metacritic our review scored it a 5). Microsoft released Crackdown 3 in early 2019 after years of troubled development. However, whatever comes next will be made without Rod Fergusson, the former head of Microsoft’s Gears-focused studio The Coalition Fergusson joined Blizzard earlier this year to oversee Diablo. *Since the release of Gears 5, Microsoft has released the excellent strategy spinoff Gears Tactics.Ĭonsidering its importance to the Xbox portfolio - Gears is likely Microsoft’s most recognizable franchise next to Halo, and the company bought the IP outright in 2014 - future entries are a given. Moon Studios’ next project is an action-RPG that will be published by Private Division, though it’s also working on an Xbox Series X version of Will of the Wisps with support for 120fps. In a Reddit AMA, Ori lead designer Chris McEntee said the first two games “told the story that wanted to tell,” though they “left the door cracked open a bit for a potential continuation.” Latest: Ori and the Will of the Wisps (March 2020)ĭespite being Microsoft’s youngest franchise at five years old, Ori (alongside Forza Horizon) has been Xbox’s most celebrated IP this generation the console versions of Blind Forest and Will of the Wisps hold an 88 and 90 on Metacritic, respectively. The list doesn’t include series from newly acquired studios - Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity, inXile’s Wasteland, etc.- since Microsoft had no part in the management of those franchises to date.) release dates and are recorded as of August 2020. (This list measures the time between original, mainline releases only - if a spinoff or remake was released more recently it's noted with an asterisk (*). Today, however, we’re looking at the past and present output of Microsoft’s major video game franchises, tracking how long it’s been between original releases in the biggest Xbox series. With its bolstered portfolio of studios, the first-party future of Xbox still looks promising. First-party developers were in the spotlight, with big reveals from Obsidian and Playground in the forms of Avowed and Fable, respectively, and the first-ever Halo Infinite gameplay from 343 (which has now been delayed to 2021). Simply put, the time is right for an Xbox Mini. The company recently showed off a selection of fruits from this labor during its Xbox Series X showcase. Things didn't always work out, and Microsoft has left most of these names behind, but a retro celebration remembering this time in Xbox's history will solidify Microsoft's legacy as a console maker and supply the growing number of original Xbox fans with a heavy dose of nostalgia. While the original Xbox is often remembered for its bulky original controller or its introduction of Xbox Live, Microsoft's software library at the time was full of experimental games trying new things and pushing boundaries. Plus, it's got a mode where players try to steal a giant chicken in multiplayer, and that's always welcome. A spot for Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge on the Xbox Mini might help lead the way to a well-earned new game that fulfills that potential. The original game attempted to tell an alternate history plot through simplistic cutscenes and in-mission dialogue, showing a knack for storytelling that was ahead of its time. Out of all of Xbox's various legacy franchises, the one with the most latent potential has to be Crimson Skies. It reflects the weather/season and is a nice little touch. Handful of new mods I found before installing:Īnimated Seasonal Background - This just animates the little paper doll character window when you view your skills. Sorry for the double post, but now that I have actually installed the game and most of the mods from my list up there, I thought I'd give an update for others who are interested. You can pay 50k at Pierre's for one more row in your backpack. Quite nice if you head in there with, like, 50+ geodes.īigger Backpack - Probably the most controversial suggestion if you're not interested in big gameplay changes, but I find this just so useful, but not OP that I really appreciate it. Hold To Break Geodes - Pairs nicely with Fast Animations, just lets you hold down the geode stack on Clint when breaking geodes to spam through them. Makes it way less stressful setting up where you want your fruit trees because you can always relocate them later if need be. Adds an option at Robin's to transplant trees on your farm to a different spot. Tree Transplant - Another one I really can't live without. Shouldn't actually affect gameplay I believe because most of these animations freeze game time anyway while playing out. Feels weird for it to be so trash when you literally just get it added.įast Animations - Gives a bunch of options for speeding up certain animations in the game to have less downtime. Kind of fun if you fish up some as trash and need to hurry back home before 2 AM.Ĭlean Cellar - Gotta be honest, I just hate the busted up cellar. I didn't like that Joja Cola was just useless, so I gave it less energy and health, but a minor speed buff which I felt was fitting for a presumably caffeinated beverage. Joja Cola Speed Buff - Warning! I actually made this mod and it's my first one, haha. Gives them all a unique and fitting look, love it!Įlle's Kitchen Replacement - I'm just not a huge fan of the default kitchen, and it gives plenty of options for various counter tile colors, appliance colors, even drawer handle colors, lol. Lore-Friendly JojaMart Prices - Makes JojaMart prices actually competitive with Pierre's, and even moreso if you decide to become a member (which actually incentivizes that choice now).īetter Artisan Good Icons - I really like this one if you intend to make a lot of wines and such. Gives villagers tons of new outfits and portraits for all the seasons and all sorts of other occasions like events, being at the beach, etc. Seasonal Villager Outfits - Huge addition, in my opinion. So there! Always looking for more mods that expand dialogue/characters or add places to explore. Wind Effects - I really want this as it looks great but players are saying it doesn't work with 1.5 Less annoying Demetrius - Demetrius is great but some of his dialogue was certainly out of left field. Immersive Festival Dialogue - different dialogue every year at festivalsĪC dig spot - replaces worms with Animal Crossing spot Mods I dknow if they work since they are quite out of date and have no comments proving/disproving as such: George and Evelyn expanded - More dialogue for the elderly couple There is also sister mods that add seasonal clothing or beach wear.ĭialogue Emotes - little emote bubbles over villager heads when their portrait changes to match. Like Harvest Moon/Rune Factory but not overly anime. Ohodavi's villager portraits - Love the look of these. MissCoriel's various additional music packsĬider Press - make fruit into cider instead of just wine Immersive Characters series by tenthousandcats Stardew Aquarium - New area with the titular building for fish donationĪll the mods that animate sprites by Gervig91 More Grass - base mod needed for a few other mods that just add different plants around Sit N' Relax - stamina regen and when sitting and ability to sit placesĬolored Seeds - colors seed packets based on season they growĭynamic Night Time - Night is gradual and adds dawn/duskĮlle's Seasonal Buildings - Building retextures Lookup Anything - Essentially an in-game wikiĭaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor and accompanying "darker shade" recolors for paths/fences Just do a quick ctrl f to see if your recommendation is already here: Here is the list I compiled so far.haven't even started installing anything yet. I am less interested in very drastic gameplay changes. Especially mods that add to that "new game" experience that really expand the game and flesh out characters/settings. I already have a list, but I am looking for recommendations that people have to add to it. Along with all the base updates I also get to enjoy the now well-developed modding scene that has some great stuff out there. I am really looking forward to hopping back into Stardew for the 1.5 update, especially when it has been a very long time since I last played. |
